‘Fruits Still Life’

I remembered working with watercolour for the first time. I don’t usually work with this medium but I am quite please with this still life of bananas, satsumas and Sharon fruits. Thinking back, my art teacher asked what did a Sharon fruit taste like. I gave him one to try and to my surprise he liked it a lot and said it tasted like a peach. I don’t quite know how to make of that as I don’t think it does, maybe the texture, slightly.

If you are interested in my work, please have a look at my ebay shop on Β  http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/ntranart

Enjoy!

Morning light

dsc_0224

The morning glory bring a smile to my face at 7.24am. Maybe my inspiration for my next painting?

So, this morning I got out of bed at 6am like most mornings and I leave the house at 7am. In the winter is much harder to feel motivated with the darkness and cold. I walk to work which takes 50 mins. Every twenty minutes when I reach the hill I tend to see if the darkness change to light. It is only from today I saw the morning glory, bright light! It’s about time too. I took a wonderful picture of the longing sight and I think it will be my inspiration for my next painting.

A good friend in need is a good friend’s support

Good morning! It is freezing cold and I am home in the warmth, lucky me. I was thinking the other day about my art work, where to start getting and bringing people to notice I exist? I am terrible with my spellings and grammars and almost don’t have much patients to write. I am learning slowly to be better of all those things and it is the only way to improve. I do get shy writing about my work and about all the things on my blogs and most of all is uploading a picture of myself! (photo below is me and Ellis with Stevie the dog).

In this blog it’s about friends’ supports. As I was preparing my website and my blogs for the very first time, I honestly didn’tΒ  realize how long doing this take, a very long time. Before I attached the whole thing on facebook I was thinking likely not many will even bother to click onto it and read it because we all have a busy life, right? I do it sometimes. The next day I was in work a good friend, Ellis said she had a look at my site and read it adding, ‘it’s very professional and really good to read what I wrote’. I must say, it made me smile πŸ™‚ and hope sparkle in my head. It is extremely important to have friends and families support, it makes a hell of a different. I appreciate everyone that is supporting me now and way before I began this blog. Thank you. xxx

Stitch work onto paper

Morning, I hope you are having a nice and lovely weekend. Relax and have a cuppa tea or coffee. I am writing this blog about my stitching onto paper as people has been asking me with interest.

I remembered playing around with the sewing machine and trying to brain storm what I can come up with. Messing with the different stitches gave me a chance to do that. I firstly painted the background with acrylic and with the circle design I coated with nail polish around the shape. I machine stitch onto the paper, it has given the whole pieces a texture effect. Machine stitching onto paper took a long while but it was really fun to do!

I will be posting more about my work. Do make sure you come back and read it and don’t be shy to leave comments. I always love reading them!

You can buy these two pieces on my ebay shop: http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/ntranart

First blog post

Welcome to my first blog. IΒ  hope it would be a good read. I would like to tell you my reason for having a blog, I should have started it long ago but excuses got in the way. I promised myself from 2017 January I must push, I, me, myself to work. Do it, don’t think about it, that is the only way to get things done. My reason to have a blog is to introduce you to my work and to get you to know me. I think it is also great to help me focus on achieving my creativity into a business which I thoroughly enjoy doing. At the moment as a beginner I do really hope I will get my shyness out of the way and be more confident in writing about my work and my journey on the way. In the meantime, I will post more pages of my work and prices. Do get in contact if you have any questions and leave any comments behind. I will reply as soon as possible. Right, got to get dinner ready now….must dash off!
